Shluq Moving Archives poster, Tunis, June to November 2026

Five events exploring the theme of archives from a contemporary perspective through sound, publishing, and video, from June to November.

The project

Chullu Agency and the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis present the second Shluq series, titled Moving Archives.

Five events exploring the theme of archives from a contemporary perspective through sound, publishing, and video, from June to November.

On 4 June at L'Ecurie in Tunis, I shared with Fernanda Fischione and Giovanni Napolano our perspectives on the contemporary Mediterranean, in a talk and dj set titled Rewriting the Mediterranean in a Contemporary Key.

What does it mean to talk about archives on the shores of the Mediterranean today?

The question of the archive is not a question of the past… It is a question of the future, the question of the future itself, the question of a response, a promise, and a responsibility for tomorrow.

Jacques Derrida, Mal d'archivio, 1995

A project curated by Chullu Agency with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis.
